Frequently Asked Questions:
| How far in advance do I have to schedule my appointments? |
Sometimes I can get you in the same day if you plant on traveling to my office. Give
me a call, and I'll see if I can fit you in.
|
How long does each session last? |
An hour is the typical length, but I can go longer if necessary.
There is a one hour minimum.
|
Do you guarantee a certain grade? |
My regular students do well. I see to it that they have extra problems to ensure that they
truly comprehend the material. I am more than willing to go above and beyond for those who need extra work.
But, if a student comes to me and just wants me to watch them do their homework, I usually do
not have time to make sure they have complete understanding of the entire chapter. If a student only does math when they
are with me, I can guarantee they probably won't do well.
|
My test is tomorrow, can you fit me in and help me? (By the way I am flunking the class,
theres only one more test before the final, and this is the last class I need before I can graduate!) |
If I can fit you in, I can help you to pass the test. But be prepared to spend more than an
hour with me and be prepared to spend a little more money.
|
What forms of payment are accepted? |
I accept cash, checks, or credit cards through Paypal.
|
Can we tutor online? |
I do online tutoring with an electronic whiteboard. Some students do full sessions using this
interactive tool. Others leave me homework problems on it. Call for details and the password to enter so you can try it out.
|
Am I charged for cancelled appointments? |
24 hour notice is appreciated, but not always possible. So please be considerate. If "no showing"
ends up being a pattern, services will be cancelled unless compensation is made.
|
Can we do group sessions? |
| I prefer individual tutoring since it offers the most benefits. However, groups sessions are
possible at adjusted rates. |
