Hi. My name is Sharyn, and I am a professional math tutor. I offer private tutoring for all levels of **high school and college math**. I have been tutoring for over 30 years because **I love it**. I started working in the Scottsdale Community College math lab during my first semester of college and have been at it ever since. My experience allows me to narrow in on problem areas, to present the material in a relaxed and easy to understand manner, and to help my students become more confident in their abilities.

Tutoring can save you so much **time** from trying to figure out problems on your own and watching endless videos. We get right in there, work out your problems so you can **understand** them and **feel confident** in a timely fashion. That leaves you more time for review and saves so much mental anguish. **Math can be fun when you understand it!!! **Most of my tutoring is online, but I can meet in person when necessary. I am at ASU a couple times a week, and I can meet at a Starbucks if necessary. I just find the online to be less distracting.

Whether you want a tutor to get you caught up in class, to keep you ahead of the class, to cram for a test, or to just help build up your confidence, I can help. I specialize in **reducing math anxiety**, especially in "older" students returning to school. As a professional math tutor, I can simplify the material for you, help you with your **calculator skills**, and check your understanding.

I can also help you test into the class of your choice, avoiding extra semesters of introductory material.

Class levels include: **Calculus, trigonometry, college algebra, intermediate algebra and business math classes. **

The numbers vary from ASU to UofA, NAU, Scottsdale Community College, Mesa Community College, Paradise Valley Community College, Rio Salado, Phoenix College, Yavapai Community College and all the rest. It doesn't really matter which class or state, I can help.

I have worked with Basis students, Notre Dame, Brophy, as well as most of the online high schoolers - primavera, connections, K12 and the ones through the public schools. I understand what is required for the pathways books too.
