More Than Getting Through Tonight's Homework
A lot of students come to me unsure of themselves in math. They hesitate, second-guess their answers, or assume they're just not good at it.
My goal isn't simply to help them finish the assignment. I want them to become strong, confident math students.
Sometimes that means showing them a shortcut that makes a complicated problem suddenly click. Other times, I'll deliberately challenge them to solve something the harder way because I know the skills they're building will make the next chapter easier.
With 38 years of tutoring experience, I know which skills students need to master, which shortcuts are worth knowing, and where they're likely to get tripped up on a test. As their skills grow, so does their confidence—and students who once dreaded a topic often discover they actually like it.

I don't lower the bar because a student is nervous about math. I give them the support they need to reach it.
We both write on the same screen. Students work through problems themselves while I guide, add notes, draw graphs, and step in when needed.
